Tim Abels currently leads Reference Architecture Specs and Forums, including securing Smart City. 2017 keynotes included: IEEE Network, Cisco Big Data, DoD Network, Darpa, TIA/Telco, Devfest, standards, University consortia and Intel internal.

15 year Director of Server Arch at Intel and Dell (HW, SW & Systems) and Director of Visual Studio at Microsoft. He has 100 patents, 40 recent publications and MS in CS from Purdue. Tim is an entrepreneur with two IPOs, co-founding five Dell server divisions and labs including Dellhost sold to Sprint. While working as CompuServe Chief Architect he taught 15 CS courses at Ohio State including Algorithms and AI, and authored KCC, the first certified ANSI C compiler.
